Analyse button in correspondense chess?

You can start/open your correspondenсe game and see there is an analysis button. But cheating in correspondenсe chess is illegal.
Back when correspondence was done over snail mail, it was common for players to keep a physical chess board with the current game state and play around with it. The limited analysis we provide is the same.
that was a fast reasoning. no room for thinking alternatives, I think the missing assumption is the following:
Analysis = engine.

aah, the mysteries of slow chess. when one can actually look at the board and also, bonus, look at the thinking mirror before sending the move. It means, that the love of the chess board is the prime directive... if we were robots. (are we?)

ego social worth emotional loop broken, not applicable. takes the back seat. takes a nap. etc. the adults take over (in the player mindset i mean).

I suggest you try against the engine. It takes some mental strength to not be bullied by its pace. I see you have not yet even tried such game experience. It is very good for your self-awareness. slow motion, you can criticize your own wishful calculation, and actually consider what it in the positions you are making moves into.

Engines a bad addiction. You know what, we don't need engines, we cheat with have our own brain not under time strategy distraction handicap. really the board becomes the goal. the winning just a token goal to enjoy the mysteries turned question turned "what if hypothesis" (over more than one game, surely).

one move can be an opportunity to get some silly move questions that would not even dare trying in a speed game, which is about testing how fast you might remember the best move. or put the other way, the strategy of move sequence memory retrieval, without exploring testing more of the board hidden stories, is a competitive one, it works. Is chess a game of knowledge memory, or a game of equal knowledge but imagination effort based on some growing skill set, that is not needing the explicit move sequence association anymore as stable strategy.

I think, that only in correspondance, can the prehistoric chess spirit be experienced. It is not about going exhaustive engine, and not the retirement plan paradise for experts not at their apogee anymore. It can be patzer exploration paradise. where you can work on the board mechanistic stories, and at the same time self-observe your own thinking.. I say. Real pure chess experience. And a learner laboratory.

also blunder and trap chess not on the menu. the mistakes are more positional. not about calculation raw power, contrary to the opportunity that all the time in the world my appear to offer. But you can chose your battles where caculation is your friend for new unfamilar territory. It gives curiosity on the board more slack, as you can try on yours own, more silly stuff. You can go wise, and pause and do other things that chess even. let hours pass, and then reconsider.. again. I say. one game, might be about many games experience..

It's not cheating. The engine is disabled in correspondance games. If you click the analysis button you can move pieces around the board and view the opening explorer. You can also make premoves.
