expand/collaps triangles for search lines not displayed correctly

There seems to be a new feature (at least I hadn't noticed it before) where the search lines in the engine analysis can be expanded or collapsed. The icon for this in the right margin of the line is apparently supposed to be a triangle; it uses the Unicode character U+2BC5 ("BLACK MEDIUM UP-POINTING TRIANGLE CENTRED"). On my machine (Mac OS 10.14.6), this is displayed as a square with the hex code in Firefox 88.0 and as an empty rectangle in Safari 14.0.3 (14610.4.3.1.7).
I installed the Unifont font (http://unifoundry.com/unifont/index.html) on my system, and now the triangle is being displayed correctly (although rather large, probably larger than intended). So the problem could probably be solved by providing a font that contains the U+2BC5 character.
I now also installed the Symbola font (fontlibrary.org/en/font/symbola), which also has this symbol – the browser is using that instead (don't know why), and the resulting triangles have a more appropriate size.
