Hello everyone,
We have been getting a move on with the house teams, but I warned us before trying this: making the teams truly fun and inviting for the players takes serious work on our part. So far, the result has not been as great as I thought, and even though I would have been able to take charge in normal circumstances, I won't be able to hold on much longer.
I have summer school starting now that my regular school year has finished, not to mention that I'm moving across the US to a new state. I will not have much time to sit on Lichess and manage a team. My parents also think it's a waste of time, and they don't even know that I am leading this team. If they find out, I will get in big trouble since I'm not supposed to be doing anything else.
When I started this and proposed the idea, I expected everyone to help out, but so far I have created almost all the team battles (excluding the first one), lead a house that isn't even mine (Slytherin), (create the weekly discussion topics for all four houses, created the points system, started several forum topics in the main team...
Even in an alternate universe when I tried to lead a team, it didn't work because the members weren't even participating. Only two people showed up for the last tournament, and no Hufflepuffs submitted something for points. All this isn't worth it. I hate to take the Salazar Slytherin route, but this is for the best.
