It would be nice to have an option to only play users with established ratings.
Okay.

But why though? :D I want a discussion
With the ability to get a new account relatively easily, I think there is potential for abuse. Idk how hard it would be to implement, but it seems intuitive.
The last couple provisional players I've played in classical have been cheaters. I now reject all challenges from new players and it's sad that I have to do that with the amount of legit new players.
People without established ratings shouldn't be able to play anyone.
This is just absurd. Everybody has started sometimes and was glad to find rated opponents.
@sybotes I want to clarify I'm not against provies playing rated players, just higher rated ones. With me being over 2000 It can be more common to come across cheaters because they rise that fast. I don't want to risk wasting my time against an engine which has happened to me on numerous occasions. My idea is that players over 2000 could opt out of playing against provisional players.
I'm not talking about limiting this to higher rated players. My rating is near where new players start at 1500 so I get stuck playing them all the time. It would be nice to have the option to only play players with an established rating.
@bardu you could set the rating limit to 1550 and higher so it's always against somebody who has played at least one game. Not perfect but might weed a lot of them out.
Yeah I agree, it's a solution. I just thought it would be a nice feature to implement on the site.
