Amazing that the german grandmaster Emanuel Lasker is hardly mentioned as one of the most outstanding chessplayers. He was world champion for 27 years. Who can compare having possessed the title such a long time?

Emanuel Lasker is my favorite player of all time ...right beside Fischer. Note to stonecollector #82...Lasker succeeded Wilhelm Steinitz who had held the world title for 28 years. If you really like Lasker ...there is a biography book, about Laskers life, called Emanuel Lasker The life of a chess master by Dr.J. Hannak. It even has a forward written by Albert Einstein. Lots of detail about this remarkable man's life. :]
