It was intentionally removed to prevent infrastructure abuse by trading followers and begging for followers in chats and forums. So it's unlikely that it will be brought back.

Followers have turned into friends.

Yeah but i cant see those who follow me so, if some hacker wants to follow me i wont know and he can track every of my posts without me even knowing him. When i could see my followers, i could have got to know and blocked.

Lichess should have added friend without removing followers:(

No need. we can only see our own by default.
