Remove names of post down votes

Today I was pinged by someone whose post I down voted (not responded to, just down voted). Their post was saying"the Najdorf isn't a sharp opening" so you can see why I disagreed haha. They have attacked me for being "irresponsible" for down voting their post, and have scrolled my forum history as well and are even attacking those who have up voted my posts several times.

See here: lichess.org/forum/general-chess-discussion/i-like-the-extreme-sharpness-of-najdorf-but-i-also-like-calmness-of-qgd-what-kind-of-player-am-i-?page=2#19

Of course they have been reported but it doesn't always violate the TOS, and regardless I feel it's something that could be prevented entirely. On sites like Reddit up/down votes are anonymous and I feel like having that same system here would make people feel more comfortable reacting to posts and would prevent these sorts of incidents.

I could be convinced either way, but anonymous reactions are generally the norm on the internet for reasons like this and I think this would make things a lot easier.

Thanks
@hendrixmaine That would be a good idea. However I think if people just randomly call you out and start harassing and insulting you for a simple dislike they should get chatbanned at least.

yeah, it would be great!
Forums have emoticon reactions and don't have votes.
Why worry about a toxic troll? You reported them, and they already closed their account anyways (LMAO)

It's about the principle and I 100% agree with OP. I recently had something very similar happen to me in terms of a "mini retaliation" because I had downvoted something.

like he can't do anything then
and it would just be a waste of time
#5 This specific incident isn't the only reason though. Many people are less willing to react to posts because of these sorts of things, or would just prefer to remain anonymous when reacting regardless.

Besides, even if incidents like above get resolved it's 100x easier to just prevent them from happening completely, and again I just don't see the benefit of showing the names anyways.
Honestly I'd feel a lot more uncomfortable if I don't know who downvotes or upvotes me.

Moronic trolls are going to try to make life shit for other people no matter what.

If they couldn't see that you disliked their post, they would have cursed at someone, asked for *Inappropriate things* from a minor, etc.

If we are to remove the ability for people to see who reacted to posts - on the ground of trolls annoying you - then we might as well shut-down the whole internet.

Just some thoughts.
