Feature request: email notifications for Chess Correspondence Games

Hello,
congratulations for the website.

I'm a correspondence Chess Player and I'm hightly interested in playing on Lichess.

I tried to play here by correspondence time ago.

Though it seems you missed an important feature:
because the game it is not real time, you need to be noticed when you have to move. So you need emails notifications.
Also really useful will be the notifications when the time to move is expiring.

Please, look at the notifications system of Gameknot, that has a good way to do this type of things.

I'm not able to find email notifications on Lichess website (maybe somewhere you already setup this feature?). Indeed it appears that the app has something similar (via app notifications), but it would be really useful to add "expiring time notifications" also in the app.

(I understand that emails notifications mean a lot of emails and consequentially a huge load on the server, but please figure out if it would be possible).

Hello Saintex, as you said you may activate notifications in the app of your phone and it will be with a "number 1 at red" that means you have something pending and about expiring time, well lichess does not have that feature right now. I recommend you activate the notifications meanwhile lichess can introduce that new feature.
