User not ban’ed

Hi everyone,

I played a few days ago against a player. I won and he insulted me in russian. No big deal i reported it and blocked him.

I recieved a notification noticing me a player was banned.

As i don’t usually report insulting players i knew exactly who the banned player was.

I went and check his profile and noticed that he was still playing.

So i was wondering what kind of ban did sanction him ?

Hello, there are various moderation actions that are not visible to the other players, for example warnings or chat ban.

@elkadice as lichess moderator said, he might have recieved a warning from Lichess or could have been chatbanned, if he was continually violating the chat policies.

The guy is chatbanned.

The common ToS violation marks are for cheating or related fairplay offenses.

Chatbanned people cannot communicate, but they still have a right to play normally

Yes, he should've been baned!

Probably you had reported someone for cheating before.
