How did you find lichess.org?

I watch chessnetwork's videos and saw him playing on this site.

I was looking for free online chess, and the first time I saw chess.com, I thought it was ugly as heck, so lichess was the next option and it was WAY more appealing!

Watched some videos from Kingscrusher on Youtube. I liked the tournaments, berserking and the UI overall, so i started searching for that awesome site.
Glad i found it <3

I was playing chess with a friend on Facebook and our limit of number of games ran out so we searched everything out. Came across about 10 servers, this was the most pro one. Never looked back.

Wanted to play with a friend online, but he didn't have a chess.com account. Through Google, found this site where you can simply copy and paste a link to play with a specific person, even without either player having an account.

After playing on this site and seeing how much better it was, I abandoned chess.com and registered here instead XD

I used chess.com which was good but lacking in some features. Chesscube was just annoying. I found lichess through web searches and chess youtubers, and it's far and above the best chess website. Very smooth interface, features and stats galore, variants, and progressively improving.

I found lichess from SnatchPato's Twitch channel. I have been a chessplayer for a long time, and I run a chess blog. I started watching his channel, and I saw where he was using lichess for the game engine.

'Nuff said. :)
