Definition of Puzzle

Dear Reader

A puzzle and especially a chess puzzle must have a unique answer. If you have two or more correct answers it is not a correct puzzle. If it calculates your rating it would be wrong rating. LiChess has many puzzles. I have resolved many of them so I think there is a program that can select the winning position of the players then it suggests it as a puzzle. At this stage it is interesting way to make many puzzles but there is an important problem. I have seen such incorrect puzzle, for instance you can make a check with your queen the take a bishop if he takes your pieces by his knight then you can take it by your queen. But the original game was to change the pieces first then make a check. See there is no difference in such case, even the material you get is the same. So how
1. one resolution is correct and the other one is not?
2. it gives you minus rating, at least it can give zero rating?
3. to score points is the main game move, not the correct answer?
I suggest LiChess developers to change the way of rating calculation. It would be better to process the position and when the answer makes significant advantage then gives score. Better moves get more score and best move gets most score. If LiChess changes such improvement, then many players will be satisfied.
Thanks a lot.
There is the best move. You should find it. There may be multiple winning moves, but there's always one best move. Simple as that. If you have a puzzle you believe to be wrong, providing it would be nice.
Lichess puzzles can be obscure sometimes because they are automatically generated, but that's a different story.
