where does one find a list of friends and how to manage it please?

Lichess is a wonderful site in which who so ever you follow become your friend.
So you can follow some persons to get them as their friends amd if they follow you back means you are friends now.
After that when you will follow some persons.
You can see them at bottom right corner.

How does one delete a friend?

You can do that by unfollowing them.
