When you look at the Online Friends section of the lichess layout in the bottom right, it can be hard to establish whether these players are just idle or actually active. Maybe after 10 minutes of inactivity, the green circle could turn yellow to signify that the player is idle. This could also appear when you hover over a player's profile or when you are on their profile page.

This is a great request. It would bring the lichess 'availability' feature inline with most other presence engines.
I'll often just walk away from my computer, with whatever browser windows open, and may not return for many hours. Probably lots of people like me out there too.
It would be good to know who is online and who is really online.
Any lichess devs willing to work on this?
