Perfect website / iPad version

I discovered this website only a few days ago and wanna thank to developers for your great job. Site is very clean and works great. I can only say that you can make the site work better on iPad.

I don't understand why there's not more involvement by the devs for mobile devices. I believe there are many lichess users that would gladly buy an iPad/iPhone app of lichess.

Agree with you, i would. At least they can make games playable. You cannot pick and move your pieces properly although site and games open.

Yea the click events can be tricky. But this would be a big improvement to the site. At least make the two-click-move faster.

Don't make a mobile version, just fix the one you have.

The hard part is that every browser/device sends different events for the clicks. But I have done a library for this, so I know it's not too difficult. Just use a library or make one yourself.

Touch devices and desktop/laptop devices are inherently different. Attempting to get a single webpage to work seamlessly. with all features in retention, across all formats of devices is impossible.

It's a lot more functional to have a mobile-class application that is dedicated to the interface you are using.

The vertical 3.5" - 4" touch screen on a iPhone would make better use of information being displayed in a different format compared to a 23" landscape desktop display with mouse and keyboard interface.

Not at all impossible. You are almost there already. Just fix the problems and its done.

A mobile version would be great!

I second that. The iPad support is very buggy. I don't care if there is a mobile version per se. However, I would love to see the interface work properly with mobile browsers.
