Feature suggestion - Limit user play options

I thought of a feature that could potentially be useful for people like me.
My idea is to enable a user to disable and forbid himself from playing specific time controls.
In my case I'd like to focus on playing longer games and sometimes I can't control myself and go on a blitz session which I later on regret.

Would such a feature be useful to more people?
I'm willing to try and develop it myself if that would be in use.
I imagine this feature as some sort of browser plugin or bot/agent to remind a player to play slow, meaningful games if they wish to improve and enjoy the game.
Is there something you have in mind that the Filter games menu in Lobby doesn't handle?
I have heard of a feature like this.

It is called Self Control.

It can also help you in other aspects of life, such as losing weight.

Do you really need to butter up three slices of bread at dinner?

How about you do something about your weight instead of complaining about your sore back and knees?

You know what would help with that? Losing 100 lbs.
@avivo454 "Feature request: limited features" (paraphrase): Um . . . that's what the checkboxes are for on all the menus?

For those late-night blitz sessions while buzzed (hey, it lowers your inhibitions, right?), I recommend logging out and playing anonymously. That way, there's no record (unless you want it, say via bookmarks / imports).

"I'm willing to try and develop it myself if that would be in use." It would be in use by you, if you used it. (?) As for trying and doing something, you can try _to_ do it, but not try _and_ do it, since that's having it both ways. ;) A fine point of grammar, perhaps -- like saying something is "very unique" is redundant, since if a thing is unique, it's unique full stop; or saying "whether or not," since the "or not" is already implied by "whether"; or "the reason why," when just reason or just why would suffice. Etc. A lot of bad grammar is popular; unfortunately, that doesn't excuse it. A lot of bad government is also popular, but that doesn't legitimate it. Just because everyone else is doing it doesn't make it right (it makes it left) -- what if they were all murdering each other? -- after all, Joe Public doesn't know how to fly a plane, much less run a whole country; and asking non-chess-players to vote on the next move in the World Championship would be useless, since their vote is worthless. But I digress.

Popularity is an unfortunate fixation of the Modern Era. Popular things are common. Excrement is common; excellence is rare. To become excellent at anything requires practice; unfortunately (for them), most people are lazy and/or distracted. But as someone else said, self-control will get you there. Though the toggling of options will surely help. ;)

I would say, since you're using Lichess rather than Chess.com, you are already doing the unpopular thing, and are therefore above average. So just keep doing what you're doing, and best of luck to you. :)
@MoistChess In the weight area I'm very satisfied but thanks. Regarding your example, the option in the quick lobby to start blitz games is too inviting and accessible, it's like putting a piece of cake in the face of an addicted fat man whos trying to lose weight.

@tiazh I was actually referring to the quick pairing options and not the lobby. A user can start blitz games so instantly and I thought of an option to disable it in the quick lobby.

@Royal-Spork thanks for the grammar lesson, I'm always glad to have it fixed and improved. If there are any silly mistakes in this comment as well please correct me :)
