@CityWanderer "46% of classical custom games, had no increment.
As crazy as it seems, that's what the people want."
What percentage of classical games are custom games? I'd say a very small one. So I don't think that your conclusion makes any sense at all.
Either way, having a rapid or a classical game decided by whose mouse can move faster is a bit absurd.

This, btw, is also why playing rapid and classical in an arena format is just silly.
Perhaps 25+10 would work well the the place of 30+0 since it's another common FIDE time control and it's a similar length.
I think classical games must contains increment. I want to be able to play my endings sensible and not in hurry. I would prefer 20+15 instead of 30+0 it gives me confidence that I will not run out of time and I am not forced to look at my clock so often.
I agree that 30+0 isn' t that great, I would prefer 25+10 as somebody already said. However, for those like me who like increment, 30+20 can be a valid alternative. With 20 sec a move and half an hour of total time there is enough time to play the endgame decently. Great improvement, thank you Lichess :)
No increment classical is completely silly.
However, we FINALLY get a rapid with increment quick-pairing option. That was badly needed, and is much appreciated.
Overall, a good change.
Yes, I am very happy with these new quick options. Thanks a lot!
Ironically the addition of new Rapid seek buttons might have been what we needed to mitigate server load after all.
@GSP0113 LOVING it! Couldn't have said it better.
