I recently play only correspondence chess, mostly on chess.com, plus some games here on lichess.org, then analyse them here on lichess.
So, my lichess activity recently looks like this:
• I open the website and see how much time I have in different games, then makes move in the ones that are running short (1-2 days left),
• I import some games I played elsewhere,
• I see that there's some notification, so hoping that someone wrote to me, challenged me, answered my forum post etc. I click it... just to see the message that at some point in future, there was a situation, where I had only 24 hours left till my game times out, which is completely useless and irrelevant for me, because I never play chess on mobile, only on my laptop, so when I will open the lichess, I will automatically make the move (correspondence games are the very first thing you ALWAYS see!!! (check second image below)) or the game will be already timed out. So, the notification is useless for me.
• Still, I click the notification and I am being brought to the game, in which my opponent have like 5 days to move... it's annoying, why to "notify me about my time's running low, when it's not even my turn to move"??

Then, some time later, after opening the lichess and making the moves in my games, I notice another notification. I click it and what do I see?
Yeah, another completely useless notification, that brings me to the game, where it's not only not my move, but also there are like few days left...
That's really annoying and often confusing, can I somehow turn it off?
I understand that it can be useful for people playing on their phones, as they will get notification when running low, but I always play only on my laptop and don't even check my notifications, unless I check my correspondence games first (what if one of them is running out of time? I prioritize checking them above else stuff, like some notification spam etc., especially that I see all of them immediately after opening the website:

so I automatically prioritize them, while I have to click for notifications, in order to see them, thus I like never end up opening notifications before seeing the games I play.

So, how can I disable these notifications?
They are never useful for me and always annoying, because I just waste my time going through some spam that's no longer relevant and only confusing - you got notified about your time running out, but it's not even your move...
• does it mean that you click the wrong link? You check and the link is okay.
•... or maybe the website glitched/bugged out? You refresh, but everything is okay.
• then you actually learn or remember that these notifications were being sent at some time in the past and are no longer relevant, just an useless spam....

So, how can I turn them off? I searched through options, but can't find it :-(
And if the notification is no longer relevant, then maybe it should just disappear or at least don't be highlighted with the red symbol on the bell? Even if one was to get it only from time to time, it's still often confusing and annoying, especially if you never profit from such notification because of the way you use the website.
