What's up with inability to select color in Horde games?
One time I was able to select color, but 4 of 5 times I was not allowed to.
I tried for both casual and rated games. I have only played 3 Horde games so far.

i think its a bug..try refreshing ur tab!
Good idea, but it (refreshing) didn't work. Tried opening a new tab and that didn't work either.
I tried the same thing in the android app, and color selection is disabled, so it appears to be intentional.
I think now it's because Black has better winning chances from the get go. After playing a few more games, I've lost every one of about five games with White, but won both I've played with Black.
It's probably because certain sides have better chances of winning in variants. For example, most players in atomic and three-check prefer white over black.
Black have a avantage in antichess
I found out a way to select long ago... Only a few know :)
EDIT: bring the time control to 0+1 or 1/4 then bring it back up to the time control u want then select "Rated".
@natbee56 completely untrue. Antichess is a forced win for white. I feel black has an advantage in horde though.
