Upside Down Chess as a variant?

@CreativeThinking Well White may have a winning position at the start but the positions that arise are so complex it's anybody's game. You surely don't expect us mere humans to play at the level of Stockfish do you?
Actually, I'd like to see stockfish NNUE play a strong human in that variant. The NNUE evaluation is very strongly dependent on the position of the kings, so it could be badly confused by the swapped positions.
Also, positions with 4+ queens per side are rare in the training games, so it could have a lot of trouble with that part as well.
I would be delighted to see it as a new variant. If that is not possible, then casual tournaments on a regular basis would be great.
Yeah #23

Making it a new variant would be totally unfair.
But casual tournaments is an awesome idea.
A cool idea but i think after playing couple of games it kinda gets repetitive once everyone has learnt the theory and the theory is quite forcing at least the first couple of moves which means there is little room to create your play and for flexibility. Ofc No one will remember the theory very deep, but until to a certain degree it can be studied i guess and might cause to Repetitive forced opening theory. For me it was most fun, when it was something completely new and unknown for me during the tournament. The more it is played, more it loses fun element for me tbh.

But i would be up for something like chess960 version of upside down chess, if it can be created without forced mates or huge advantages :) it doesnt have to be 960 positions but at least a enough number of positions where you can explore smt new everytime and fun never ends.

I also created a starting position in this study, which has relatively balanced engine eval
