Feature request

Please I wish there was a space on the forum for those we speak spanish. A subforum in this forum with the same sections but in spanish.

I mean, for "General Chess Discussion" in spanish: "Discusión General". For "Game analysis" in spanish: "Análisis de juego". For "Lichess Feedback" in spanish: "Lichess retroalimentación". For "Off-Topic Discussion" in spanish: "Discusión off-topic".

Sections in spanish for players that we speak spanish and talk the topics in our native language.

If you're using google chrome I think you can translate pages into anything you want

I don't know if you use that often, but the translating the translation into the language that it was supposed to be translated into can be work... if that makes any sense.

Lo voy a decir en español porque quizás no se entendió bien a lo que me refiero. Lo que estoy pidiendo es que si se pudiera abrir un espacio en el foro para los que hablamos español, asímismo para los que hablan otros idiomas distintos al inglés.

Traducir con Google Translate no es exacta y no estoy conforme, porque la traducción en muchos casos es mala e imprecisa. Por eso es mi petición; abrir el foro en varios idiomas no sólo el inglés.

I think we all understand the limitations of Google Translate (not to mention its predecessor, the babel fish program at Altavista), but it is gradually improving through user interaction (i.e. bilingual people are correcting it). For example, a Firefox plugin using the Google API gave me this for comment #6:

I'm not sure how much work Thibault would need to do to get that started, but I would suggest making one or more teams for that purpose and using the forums that come with each team for those discussions. I would suggest teams for (if you'll forgive the Google Translation): discusión general de ajedrez, análisis de juegos y otros temas de conversación.

There's no point including a site feedback team unless there's a Spanish speaking member of staff. The team/subforum solution may not be the preferred outcome, but it has the advantage that it can be done right now, by you (or any other user) with no special privileges.
