In the tournament creation section I couldn't figure out how to create a Swiss tournament, which is how most chess tournaments are organized. How do I do this on LiChess? Thanks!
It's not possible.
I think it could be helpful to have a slider control between KO System and Round Robin.
go on chesscom and pay 9 bucks a month and you will be able to create swiss tournaments
You could create a normal tournament and ask that everyone click "Pause" at the end of their games and wait for everyone to finish before starting another round, I guess.

Why don't you just make a feature where in some tournaments after every game they autopause and once every game is done everyone automatocally unpauses.
Well, such "Why don't you just"s are probably exactly what Lichess needs. Why don't you just write the code, @TrappedPiece? It is open source, after all. Might be some work, eh?
But anyways: I'd loke to play the Swiss system for tournaments, too. But during a tournament, many players leave or come later. Which is ok as the tournaments are now, but would be very annoying during a Swiss or a full round tournament. You would have the same complaints like about rage quitting opponents - but potentialized.

Well I think knockout tournaments would be a bigger hit for online tournaments.
