It would be great if we had an option to play illegal moves

Yesterday I was playing a face to face party for the first time since the beggining of pandemy. While I was playing I pushed a pinned pawn as I didn't even look if it was pinned or not since I got used to play online chess. Then I thought that it would be great to have an option in the settings menu to allow playing illegal moves and lose the game immediately or an entirely new game mod which allows this option so some players who don't want to get used to the rules of online chess can activate this setting and pay attention to pins like in real chess.
Sounds like the capture-the-king rule where instead of checkmating, you have to capture the opponent king to win. I used to play with this rule when I was first learning chess. Thing is, it isn't very different from normal chess other than the fact that you can lose by not paying attention to pins or not realizing that you are in check.
I think being able to toggle on illegal moves would be a great feature, and has great educational value. If you were teaching a beginner, for instance, you could have them play practice games without the Kings and without checkmate, (ie. just play a pawn game with only pawns, or practice making Knight captures with the Knight moving several times in a row).
Maybe this possibility is worth thinking about: if you try to make an illegal move, it will penalize you by deducting time.
I'm with this 100%, i don't like when computer tells me when my king is in check by not allowing me to move any piece i like. So being allowed to make mistakes would definite be a good option, ofc with penalties and so like in OTB.

That would be really great, i hope the great minds behind this fantastic site would look into the possibility of incorporating this into the code of this site.

Thank you for everything you do to make this site even better.
#3 is correct. (This "option" has been suggested before but it could degrade site performance.)
This feature would be very nice to have for the analysis board. I'd also love to be able to skip a move.
