The person on lichess, @everyone, has not been on lichess for 3 years. We could just delete the account and give @everyone a new account (@everyone71828, for example) and use @everyone to ping everyone who responded on the forum...
How would you use that?
@SavageAntarctican i just can't understand
I was wondering why lichess does not delete old unused accounts.. like, why not just let the usernames be in use again?
@MadNutella The @everyone thing will just notify everyone who has replied to a forum post, so if I were to "@everyone" right now, @SavageAntarctican @Jatinsuman and you will be notified of the current post.

I understand, but why would you do that? I see that it might be usefull in some cases, (not so many) but some trolls wpuld appear here and they would ping everyone in forum post like The word game with 100k posts.
Yeah I dont think the feature will be too useful, I can see new forum posts from the side-bar thing that lichess already provides, along with other info. I guess itll be more useful for forum frequenters, but not too revolutionary or anything.
@Epic_Doggo Sometimes ISPs allow email reuse. It's a crazy idea; a security nightmare.
Threads here have the concept of subscription, but it's a bit subtle. It would be better if subscribed meant you got notified.
