New Lichess homepage is disorienting. Opinions?

Hi guys!
If you noticed Lichess.org got a new home screen orientation.
Just wanted to know your opinions on it.
I personally think it was unnecessary and the old one was better.
Or maybe I just need to get used to it.
Please let me know your opinions.

It doesn't look different to me. The change must be subtle. My orientation is fine.

Hmm the new game button is on the bottom right instead of top. I am playing on mobile on website.
