Well, yeah - it's temporary. I had a crush when I first met my partner, and we've been living together for quite some time now.

Crushes either evolve or fade away, but they exist. It's like hunger - either you eat and it goes away, or you don't eat and you die. Just because hunger is a temporary feeling doesn't mean it doesn't exist, either.

As a lesbian it can be difficult to tell whether girls actually like you or are just want to be friends. I've had a few crushes in the past but none of them felt the same way. But I'm fine being by myself and don't mind it. It would be nice to have someone to talk too, and have a close bond with.
