+ Feature to add 15 seconds time to opponents clock

This feature as presented needs to be changed. It is too easily abused by players constantly clicking on it and adding minutes of unwanted time. The feature should be an agreed upon option. In friendly, unrated games, the feature as merits, but in rated games its presence leads to abuse.
Are you upset that you get extra time? If you don't want it, you can just resign when you think your clock time should be done. If you finish the game before time would have run out, just ignore the extra time. When you are eating a meal, don't get offended if your host offers you seconds!
I agree with the OP. I would appreciate a settings option to never accept extra time, similar to the existing option to never accept takebacks. Reasons:

1. When I agree to play a game with a set time control, I am doing so because I want to hone my skill at that time control. Typically, I'm not interested in playing some combination of that time control and my opponent's "generosity".

2. As OP mentions, elimination of the lame trolling attempts by some users spamming the +15 seconds button. In my experience, this is by far the most common use of the button. In any case, takeback spam is currently limited through a settings checkbox, so why not time addition spam?
I agree, there should be an option to either disable the +15 sec option or not, and in rated games I would like the +15 option to be disabled without any option to activate it.

either get rid of it for rated games, or add an option to disable it.

#1 I agree with OP. I've only seen it used for harassment purposes
A feature to never allow adding seconds would be nice. It's against the rules of chess.
