There should be no reason that anyone should have *pings* over 100ms. Is that because everyone's rich, and has the best location and router?
The *pings* of Fortnite servers under 20-30ms. If this is about the server ping, then it should be fine, but I'd assume that you're talking about your personal ping.
Your ping is decided by where you location is, how powerful your wifi is. If your ping is over 100ms, then that's because of your own ping, which is determined by your wifi speed (or power) and your location. Lichess's server (or so I'd assume) is located in France, so it's always going to be over a certain number until you move closer to France, or get a really good wifi. You can't really compare Lichess to Fortnite servers, as Fortnite is an entirely different system, has much more complications in a different way/aspect from Lichess, and also has different servers, locations, and people using it (the servers, and all from different places).
Also, quit complaining, plenty of people on Lichess have far worse ping than you, and that doesn't mean that they're always going to lose to you just because you have better ping. Lichess recompensates for your ping, so that's covered as well.

Also, it's lose, not loose. They probably won't lose players just because they have 100ms ping, and if someone has something ridiculously high, then they probably wouldn't be able to connect to Lichess's server.
And surely they can't afford to lose players because then they won't get those premium subscriptions. Oh wait, there aren't any. But they will lose ad revenue... no, there aren't any ads.

OP states Fortnite runs at 20 - 30 ping. Lichess regularly runs at 2. So Lichess is awesome then? Confusing.

@spacehunter Lichess can definitely afford to lose you. And online chess has nothing to do with Fortnite.
