Follow the shield!

Lichess should add a new feature where they allow users to follow the shield. For example, you can follow the rapid shield. So you are following whoever has the rapid shield . But if he loses the shield, you are now following the new guy who won the shield, not the previous owner anymore. So in the shield arena, the players are not only fighting for the shield but the followers that are following the shield.

YES !

So basically you follow the shield and whoever has the shield you are following that person. So if another guy gets the shield you don’t follow the first guy anymore, but instead follow the second guy.

Seems pretty superfluous. Just follow them yourself, it's not that hard. Not worth dev time and effort.
