New training tool suggestion

Hello,

In order to help with board visualisation I wanted propose a new training tool to compliment the existing coordinates training.

Th idea is that you would be shown a board for five seconds with a position set up. After five seconds you're given an empty board and you have to recreate it from memory.

The difficulty could be tuned by increasing or decreasing the amount of time you have and the number of pieces.

Would the position be from actual games or be purely random? I remember reading somewhere that when GM's were given the same challenge they would easily remember positions similar to actual games because of their awesome pattern recognition abilities, but struggled when the pieces were placed on the board randomly. I guess it would be more useful if it was taken from actual games, maybe even your own games.
