It might sound trite, but have you tried reporting?
I don't know how much traction this will get here as opposed to the feedback forum, but I'd love to see teams that repeatedly break TOS (especially repeated violations by the team leaders) to face some sort of penalty - a freeze on new members, or a week ban from tournaments, etc.

perhaps cc has the solution , at cc admins can only send out 30 invites per team a day ,
Mass advertisements and team partnerships. Teams partner with each other and advertise each other's teams and both teams' member counts explode. It's technically against the team etiquette, but it's also ridiculously hard to enforce.

Also, a team that has 1000+ members that I, for some reason, after a few days of joining, ez got leader, seems quite sus. I won’t point it out yet, cuz my “fellow leaders” just bug the alrdy existing team members with tourneys, but i don’t rly know if they’re advertising. Tryna get them to send less team messages :)

Unsub from team messages and block whoever is doing mass advertising. It also happened with me, and when I asked the guy to stop messaging me, he gave me some rude comments, and he blocked me himself 😂
Yes, this is true. In the meanwhile I was receiving a lot of team messages, literally 20-25 per day. Except 3-4, all were *TEAM MESSAGES*. They are kind of annoying when received more than twice. I just un-subbed all team messages except 1-3. Should we request lichess for having a feature like uhhhh to automatically un-subscribe the team messages when recieved a message more than twice? It's just a thought I don't know if this will be good or not...

#1 I and my 4 friends reported those advertisers but they dont get chatbanned ever.
i just get annoyed when they give follower prizes and other faje things. you know what i am trying to say and about which team.
