Correspondence

Hi, I recently created a large number of correspondence chess games (3 days). (100+ games) I frequently find games that do not come up on the correspondence games tab with significantly lower time left to move. To counter this, I made all my moves yesterday and refreshed the correspondence tab to see nobody had moved. I went off feeling happy and and came back this morning to find I have lost 6 games on time, I have loads of games with no moves played which are me to move and I have sandbagging report threats by lichess. I think correspondence and the interface it uses needs a complete overhaul. I understand the site is free but the feature is unusable. There are sites which simply offer a much better version of it. I would love to see this fixed. Thanks for reading and I’d happily consider any responses. Thank you

Update: the issue seems mainly relevant to games with 0 moves made.

If you are playing 100+ simultaneous correspondence games, you are doing it wrong anyways.

And how is that so? What if I want to have time to make my moves if I want but I want to have enough games to not be bored. Many people have a large number of correspondence games, I don’t see how you can say I’m doing it wrong - it’s my choice. Not to mention it’s quite a logical and enjoyable one.

A number of other small details that could do to be fixed:
Can only view 9 games at a time in order of time left
Order of time left doesn’t always work
Doesn’t show number of games above 100 on the correspondence tab
Doesn’t show larger than 9 number of moves needed to be made on the tab
Auto switch on the app doesn’t work and makes it painfully unusable
Activity page doesn’t show moves made numbers larger than 15

If all these were fixed then correspondence would be a valid option on this site.

While I think you pose some reasonable improvements to the current system, so few users play as many correspondence games as you do that it would be an inefficient use of the developers' valuable time, considering they work for free.

Yes I understand what you say and I agree but the players do exist. The fact is they use different sites due to the downfalls of this site. So I’m not so sure it wouldn’t be a good use of their time. Anyways why would you want a function on your site that doesn’t even work. The site seems stable enough at the moment where this might be an issue which can be fixed and may be being worked on as we speak. Although some response and transparency would be nice.

The reason why I’m so confident on this is that I do play on other sites and there are many many players there playing many more games than I do. Although it is true that correspondence tournaments are also a large factor in this.
