Suggestion: Delete-button of "followers"

Dear Lichess,

The "follower" system is not as easy understandable as for instance "Facebooks" - where you have to agree to follow each other, both - by becoming FB-friends. Here on Lichess you can "follow" A, without A following you. Well - maybe that's smart.

But... i have so many students (old inactive students) who once chose to follow me - and I still get new students that mix up with the old ones, and this mix is a mess. I would like a possibility of "unfollowing" the chess-players who once chose to follow me.

A button. "Remove" this follower.

Also "the danish names of follower" is not that well-chosen. It's a little difficult to se the difference between the list of people I follow - and the list, that follows me. I can't nearly see the difference, what list is what. (Maybe that is a translation problem.)

I would so much like, for christmas, the above possibility of deleting followers on both lists.

Sincerely
Rune Egede Andersen, Denmark
If you want to make someone "unfollow" you, there is a workaround:. Go to their profile, block them. This clears their follow status. Then unblock, and everything i like before, they just don't follow you anymore.

Not the most elegant solution, but it works.
Maybe instead of saying "1 friend online" in the bottom corner it could say something like "1 player you are following online". It'd be less confusing.
Toscani - That is not the issue. It's okay to follow me, if you do follow me. If you made a profile 2 years ago, and don't use it... but it states, that it follow me... then it's not okay and I wan't to delete it.

Fuxia - Thanks! Ill try that, if I'm not heard... Helpfull... !!
Can someone tell my why the follow button isn't always available in some profiles? I tried to follow Mmerci, but i am unable because there isn't a follow button in there profile.
@HrAndersen you have a choice who to follow. You don't have choice who will follow you, unless you play a whack-a-mole block people or just disable having people follow you altogether.

So if you want to find your students, simply follow THEM. In your list of who you follow, there should be only your students. In the list of who follows you, there are fans and just random lichess users like monkeychess3421 that you've never heard of before.
I know - But if you have 150 followers out of 160 followers in total - whom never use their profiles it becomes silly.

My "followers" are my students, which is as it should be. I am not worth following for random chess-players.
