Lichess calender!

Okay I know I've seen calls for it before but we NEED some sort of calendar. Over the last week or so I've seen notifications on the sidebar for Crew64 v tang (did I miss this? Did this already happen? Case in point...) , tang v some computer, lichess titled 5. But I DON'T KNOW when these things are. I just see the notification once and then hope I see the event happening.

Why not a small section with only the big events:
______________________________________________
Event: blank blank blank Days until: X
Event: blank blank blank Days until: X
Event: blank blank blank Days until: X

etc.

Thoughts??

This is a great idea. The lichess tournament calendar (lichess.org/tournament/calendar) already exists, for tournaments. This would be similar, I guess.

Yeah we do have that calendar but a countdown calendar for only the big events that are in the blog posts, shields, marathons, etc.

I had proposed this sometime back here: lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/calendar-notifications-for-tournaments

But like many other suggestions this didn't get enough attention. I guess unless someone opens a Github issue it probably won't get followed up and may get buried among other threads in these forums.
