Notification bug

I keep receiving a notification alert although I don't actually have new notifications.

This is happening for me, too. When people ping me, I see a badge on the notification bell; however, when I open that panel it’s empty, without any names or links. ̄\_(ツ)_/ ̄

I’ve been able to figure out it’s pings by checking the threads I’ve recently posted in, and seeing that I was in fact pinged in one of them. But if someone were to ask to join my team, for example, I fear I’d be unable to see who it was, or to accept his request. :-/

This still hasn't been fixed.

I have browser notifs turned off so dunno if I get any, but when I open the site, I *sometimes* have an orange [1] on the bell despite it saying "no new notifications".

Did any of you get patron-related notifications? I think it started bugging when my patron status expired (that notification also came multiple times).

This happened to me today. I should have gotten a message, because I was pinged in the forum, but the list was empty.

I filed a similar issue at github.com/lichess-org/lila/issues/11963

Confirmed, it's forum notifications that cause this. (There's was a separate bug with the patron wings expiration notice appearing more than once.)

It's fixed in a PR on github already. So should work after next restart.
