Silence, Hypocrisy and Disgust

My appreciation and respect for writing this!

I have also been... quite disgusted by Karjakin. Not because he's Russian... but the stuff he's been saying on his Twitter account... it's really quite unbelievable. If he ever has the brilliant idea of visiting my country to play at for instance Tata Steel, and is allowed to play there... I am going to have so much trouble resisting getting a box of rotten tomatoes to throw at him. I hope for everyone involved that simply never, ever happens. As far as I'm concerned, his chess career is done. Completely.
My opinion is not a common one but I think that so long as the war continues, players representing Belarus and Russia should not be allowed to compete in international chess. Such problems would not arise if this was how FIDE handled things to begin with. People say that it is "not fair" to the players to be held accountable for the actions of their political leaders but how are sporting sanctions any different from economic sanctions in that regard? All of the people of these countries must share in the burden they have been shouldered with.
It's strange that you're so obsessed with stalking these people and pushing a witch hunt against them at every opportunity you can. You should find a healthier hobby.
