Anyone is depressed ? Insomnia ? Tinnitus?

Hello,

Since i have tinnitus i have difficulty to sleep, i have insomnia, tiredness. I am also depressed, so its hard to play chess, i have lot of frustration.
During competition, i have a lack of motivation and willpower AND my nerves are very not solid.

Anyone has this type of problem ? Also its frustrating to stop fully chess, but i am thinking about it.
The first thing you should try is to get help from your suroundings (family, friends) and professionals.

Your insomnia can have many causes, some things that generally help are to cut out coffein and to stop (or drasticaly reduce) smartphone or any other screen usage after the sun goes down as they mess up your melatonin system (the sleep hormone).
Maybe you don't get enough exercise throuout the day.

Meditation can help with your nerves and depression and increase your overall mood.

That's about all I can help you with. But as I said, if you suffer from those things you should really try to get professional help.
@CzechPeople I have mild tinnitus, it was troubling to me in the past not so much anymore. I had success with rest by practicing a meditation exercise that I can share with you.

I share this just as someone who had personal success with the exercise. I am not a therapist or a doctor.

Lie down in the bed for ten minutes uninterrupted. Lie on your back with your arms resting on the bed, too. You will start the ten minutes once you are still.

Here is the key, and this will take some practice. You are to think of nothing. How do you think of nothing? When your thoughts are distracted to an idea or a concern, clear your mind. This is important. Always return to, no thoughts at all.

The exercise works like this. The purpose is to get in touch with your feelings. What is a feeling? Surprisingly, feelings can manifest as physical sensations in your body. Maybe tightness in your stomach or strain in your face muscles.

It will take some weeks, perhaps, to become aware of unknown physical stress. When you are relaxing with the exercise, consider, are your face muscles tensed? Relax them. Are your teeth clenched? Relax them. Is your stomach tight? Relax. Acknowledge the strain and allow the tightness to ease away.

Do this exercise each day for 10 minutes. I will add more information later. I hope this may be helpful.

This will seem counterintuitive.

Its beneficial to do the exercise, above, before you do some work or other task. Its preferable to schedule the meditation exercise in this manner.

Do the meditation exercise as the last thing you do before leaving for / starting your work or other task. The purpose is that the exercise will more efficiently point out your feelings to you over time if you schedule the meditation in this way.

I recommend the meditation, consistently, once a day at the same time if possible. Later, you might add additional sessions if you find that it helps you relax or benefit your sleep time.
I'm so sorry you have to live with tinnitus. I know how hard it deal with insomnia since I have thoracic outlet syndrome, it makes very hard to sleep when your arms feel like they are gonna fall off just from the lack of blood circulation
If you type in tinnitus cause on your search engine you'll see the mayo clinic website which may offer some useful advice I was surprised to see there are several types of tinnitus and that the cause may be a problem with the limbic system and not your ears which your symptoms might indicate (you've probably have done this search but I thought I might mention it),some medications may cause tinnitus also so you may discuss this with your physician.Morphyisms meditation routine does sound promising.
Diet could also be a problem, particularly caffeine intake.I also am not a doctor but that's what I've been able to find and can only suggest a medical consult with a qualified professional.
Good luck and wishing you well!
Meditation will clear your mind. Do not play too many chess games. But play at least 5 each day and analysis them. Do some casual or rated puzzles and apply them to your games. If you get frustrated in standard chess, feel free to play any chess mode you like. Variants were also made to have fun. You must also believe that you can get over your depression. Find something you desire. Like Magnus Carlsen does a lot of sleeping and some swimming and a few hours of chess. Read, take a walk. Anything that makes you happy.
im depressed as well. I just find a way to find enough joy in chess to make it worthwhile
Don't worry. In old times I'm also depressed by chess. But with the support of my family I feel better now.
I've been kinda depressed since I was 3 years old, my parents never really understand what I have. Because I never told them what's wrong. A lot of stuff bad stuff happened. Some of them were negative some of them were positive. But the negative didn't help me and made it worse. Today, as for now I am very sensitive, one little thing can make me cry...
