NOBODY WANTS TO LOSE

"I recommend, as far as possible, that all athletes have permanent support from a specialist on the subject and if this is not possible, at least that both family members and coaches are trained in these issues, so that in this way, preventive and healthy actions can be implemented from the base."

This can be applied to any situation in life. I see very often parents reacting very emotionally to bad school results of their children. I see at work people not able to respond in a constructive way to bad news.

Unfortunately most of us never have received any training/ guidance on how to deal with setbacks/ disappointments. In fact it is extremely rare that somebody is trained in this domain. So how realistic is it to be safeguarded from bad influences? Personally I think you need to be lucky as it is often hard to enforce a positive environment. Anyway it is good to write such article as maybe a few readers will think twice next time when they blame somebody's mistakes.
