are there any known browser compatilibty issues with lichess?

for some strange reason the lichess home page does not display properly. there is no graphics, there is only text, and many of the links are not active. the behavior is utterly random. it does not happen always, but sometimes and then it can last for a day or two. has anyone experienced this?

i've got a bit smarter on the issue. for some strange reason, when i use a vpn connection then everything works, but in the moment i turn the vpn off, it folds back to the erroneous behavior i specified above. are there any apparent reasons for such a behavior?

I have no idea how to replicate this issue.

Also once I saw something like this when the CSS file failed to download.

I've seeing this. I use dark theme, and sometimes (very very rarely, once a month or less) it is just a blank page with the text justified to the left as if it was a text file with the all the text elements.

I believe, from my experience, that this is not an issue with lichess, neither with the browser. It is more likely to be a cache issue, a limitation of the download/upload rate or the speed of the server or of your (mine) internet connection.

But it is just a hunt. Not sure. One day I'll print-screen it if I remember.

Also, when it happens the next time, can you please try to open lichess1.org/assets/_Q3hHIu/css/site.dark.min.css? It should display a bunch of code like html{font-family:'Noto Sans', Sans-Serif}.ninja-title,.site-title{font-family:'Noto Sans'}h....

yeah , I also experienced some negligible lags when accesing lichess via a TOR browser.
