I keep getting timed out because of my internet connection

I start a game, make a move, it doesn't connect & I get a 10-minute timeout
I mean, I can't really control my connection to a server in France from China
I already lose enough rating points from moves not registering with only a few seconds left
And who do you think should solve your connection!?
I dont know if it is the conection but I have the same problem
I play my first move and it is not registered then the game does not start
and a few times it haoppens I get banned
Yeah not all of us have loads of cash for high speed cross continental connections. Why not just get another lichess server in Hong Kong or something? I've been timed out like 3 times in the last week after making moves or hitting resign & it just doesn't go through. I guess I'm just not allowed to play chess because of where I live? It's either that or switch to some terrible corporate capitalist chess site cough cough chess.com
I'm even timed out right now after losing connection to a game I was in a winning position in.. I mean if I'm up in position and material there's no reason to think I would abandon the game to be a jerk. Clearly you shouldn't get timed out for that

An easy solution would just be to ping the clients.. especially if we're running the Android app, as I do, you don't need the user to have it open in order to ping them. If you don't get a reply, then they didn't leave to spite somebody it's just a bad connection. Even without buying another server for Asia that's a very easy fix.
You’re all over the place here. You don’t want to spend the money, but have no problem demanding that the people behind lichess spend their own money. You decry the “ultra-capitalist” attitude of other sites, but think just throwing money at things is the solution.

Your poor connection is unfortunate for you, but not the responsibility of anybody else either. If I start a game and the opponent never moves, whether it was intentional or not doesn’t really have anything to do with how annoying it is. They could cater to you and your crappy connection, but they would presumably the lose other players annoyed at the inconvenience of having to just hope it’s a window where your internet is working.

“Why not just get a server in Hong Kong”? Do you listen to yourself? Why just only Hong Kong, what about all the other parts of the world? I assume that it’s because that would be convenient for you, and fuck everybody else? They probably should get servers in Sydney, Buenos Aires, Vancouver, Lagos, Johannesburg...
your stats on losing to clock:

- UltraBullet: 74 out of 79
- Bullet: 725 (1597)
- Rapid: 11 (399)
- Classical: 0 (117)
- Correspondence: 0 (43)

what about just adopting time control that matches with your quality of your connection !!!
I've just checked out average internet speed for Global, Hong Kong and China. on Speedtest(.)Net ( Jul . 2019)

I don't see how your moaning justified:

- Upload 10.78 Mbps

Fixed Broadband Global Average
- Download 63.85 Mbps
- Upload 33.53 Mbps

===============

Hong Kong

Since you apparently can't or refuse to read, I'll just repeat myself
"if I'm up in position and material there's no reason to think I would abandon the game to be a jerk. Clearly you shouldn't get timed out for that

But good for you, I'm sure it's lovely being so easily outraged
