Is declining takebacks rude?

So I was playing chess just now and my opponent was the first to offer a takeback. I accepted and the game continued. When I offered a takeback because I blundered, they declined. I felt really bad about this and decided not to play.

What do you think about this? Is it rude to decline a takeback, especially when your opponent accepted yours?
1) Turn off takebacks.

2) Don't offer takebacks unless you mouse slipped, as that's their purpose.

3) If, when you do someone a favour, you expect them to return it, don't do others favours, as they're not required to repay it. And if they don't repay it, it becomes awkward.

4) You're not responsible for your opponent's mistakes; a mouse slip is a mistake.

Have a good day.
Some players ask for take backs all through the game until they end up winning, leaving one feeling disappointed, as you could have won the game several times over, but accepted their take back requests.
I play casual Classical so I usually accept one take back request if its an obvious finger slip etc, then no more after. :).
You shouldn't accept takebacks in rated games even if it's a mouse slip and also for casual games you can accept if you want besides even if you lose that game it won't affect your rating

stopping to play was the only rude thing that happened. unless you mean you resigned.

Yes, that's exactly what I meant, I resigned.
It depends on the game and the move, if I am not certain it's a mouse slip I will counteroffer with a draw.
In my rated games I have takebacks turned off. I only accept the odd takeback in casual games, but usually not. I've made countless blunders from mouseslips, brainfarts and other reasons and I just take it on the chin. I'm most likely going to turn it off completely then there's no risk of being rude to one's opponent, unless they start whining in the game chat, then I'll just tell them to get lost.
I ONLY accept takebacks from my opponents if I can see that they OBVIOUSLY misclicked. I rarely, if ever, ask for a takeback even if I misclick... I might mention in the chat section that I misclicked just to explain a bad move, but I don't push it. A misclick is my fault too... If it is a bullet game though, forget about it, misclicks are part of the game. You have to be accurate faster than me. That's part of the deal.
