What???

I have just played a bullet game:

My opponent left the game on the first move. His time ran out but...
I understand that I have more bigger rating than his rating. I got +-0. But why he got +1 when he lose?
Please explain to me.
Thanks,
Aks_Oks.
Because your opponent's rating is so low that they cannot get below the rating floor. So instead of losing points to deflate their ratings (if that is the intention) they gain a point or two, even on their losses.

Hope this helps!
