Lichess should not have done this

I honestly think this is a really bad decision, Lichess, I love you Lichess but don't push yourself off a cliff by doing this.
Like imagine the chaos of 32 teams, absolutely hell.
This is going to really impact me because I'm in over 32 teams that are close friends on Lichess's and I'll be kicked out of a hell load of them.
Then I lead in about 12 teams so that only gives me 20 extra slots for non leaders, and what about Swiss tournaments? What about team battles? You won't be able to participate in team battles that haven't got your team in it once you reach 32 members. What about Titled Players who basically have a business? For example what about Andrew Tang? He has well more than 32 teams and he's going to be kicked out of a load of them. There's hundreds of more Titled and famous poeple who will experience the same. I'd say 40% of the Titled players will be gone before you can say pawn and they won't be coming back anytime soon because of the 32 member restriction.
Just don't, it's gone too far, believe me, Lichess has gone up, and this path goes down.

Personally, I think we should increase the maximum number of teams from 100 rather than decrease it. Think about those who know thousands of people on Lichess who are bombarded with invitations to join their teams. Decreasing the maximum number of teams you are allowed in to 32 will cause absolute chaos and outrage amongst the Lichess community, potentially causing a lot of people to even leave the site due to these changes.

Please, Lichess, do not make the change!

Furthermore, some of us need to be a part of some teams for very important tournaments! This could have a serious impact on lots of users as they may suddenly be kicked out of teams for no reason due to this new rule, meaning they can't play in the tournaments they were intending to play in!

Lichess should make a limit to 5 teams :P
So people join only those teams where they belong.

Teams would start to be real alive

@LittleJennyWren No offense, but you are so wrong lol. Although many titles players are in many teams, the reason they are titled players is because they sacrificed certain things to focus on being one of the best at chess. If you are on lichess, you should probably have more games than forum posts. Just looking at your profile, you have 2,600 forum posts and 4,100 games, which is... interesting. Doing a similar search as @clousems , I can see you’re in many website links, 7+ fan clubs, some teams made for leaders of other teams, Multiple “Petition forms”, and very many inactive teams.

I’m also in many teams, but I’m leaving them right now lol

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I think that this was a bad decision. Some very big teams will lose members. Please change it back if you can.

I agree with KTP. You shouldn't just join teams for them to show up on your profile. I mean, what's the point. I feel like this update is justified. It's better to have 32 teams that you're active in instead of 100 that aren't.

I joined the max number of teams and I didn't get kicked out or anything didn't happened to me
