You know what would be interesting, to see how many lichess users would vote for Trump. It would be cool if we could take a poll. There are so many problems with Trump I wouldn't know where to begin, but it just seems like everyone who works for him says that he's unstable, that he demands obedience, that he believes in conspiracies and doesn't understand basic facts.

It fits in with his behaviour, like when he stared directly at an eclipse, or when he admitted to taking hydroxychorloquine even though there was no evidence suggesting it worked, but rather evidence to the contrary. And then there is his behaviour, which I can only describe as childish, and bullying. He gives people the same names you would expect to hear schoolchildren use when insulting each other. On his actual policies he seems to be okay with ramping up oil, coal and gas production because he thinks climate change is a conspiracy. Then there was that time he assassinated an Iranian general nearly leading to a war. This guy is not even close to presidential material.

I also find that his base seems to be as unstable as he is, and they believe in many conspiracies themselves or are highly religious. Long story short, I'd vote Biden :). Even though he is suffering from early signs of dementia, he is still a much better candidate, and if he passes away I'd be happy with whoever his VP is over Trump.

Look at other countries' policies and see what works, and what doesn't. The pandemic isn't simple to study, but people's lives are at stake and there are experts like Dr. Fauci who can and do speak intelligently on the matter.

#151 Here's a silly idea... people voting one way could use the "Patron" button to indicate their support, and those voting the other way could use the "Close Account" button to indicate their votes.

Again, that's just a silly idea about one way a poll could be conducted... people should vote (in the actual election) and speak etc. how they want to, even if I personally am not a Trump fan.

Trump is saying a disease with a 10% fatality rate is 99% harmless. @thlstgrl maybe can explain this apparent gap in trump's education.

#156 Question: why would a real estate businessman care about government spending? Surely the motivation is that he would prefer his business' taxes be reduced; I don't see him doing anything to curb military spending, and quite the opposite.

Trump is due for his regular political affiliations change...and while he's at it he might as well buy himself a new missus...that must be near due as well.
