Well I started chess a year ago and am 1700 on lichess now. I started taking chess a bit more seriously recently and started studying it 3-4 hours from this month. However I think the real way to study chess is to play a lot of games because I have seen that studying a single position or multiple positions doesn't really help (unless it's an endgame lesson). Anyway that is how I study chess and thank you for the wonderful blog!

I wouldn't put yourself down on the writing front so much! I wanted to write after uni and wrote 2 terrible short stories in a decade! OK, I wasn't trying hard to be fair. But 3 and a half novels is good going when not your main job.
