I hope there exists something called the "pineapple defense".

There's apparently "Sicilian defense: Toilet Variation" and "Benoni defense: Modern, flick-knife attack", but seemingly no "Fruit defense" or "Pineapple Defense".

I will take a Toilet Variation anyday over my beloved pineapple defense - what a trade off!

I must insist that the Hippopotamus Opening never be called "strange" or "dumb." The lovely Hippopotamus is the opening that other openings wish they could be, but fall short of being.

Only the pure of heart and valiant in spirit are called upon to play the Hippo. Long may it waddle forth, to create the New Spring in beloved chess.
