“Plus 4 or More” & “Plus 8 is Mate”

Hello,

My suggestion is an additional option to make available. Particularly, the option would be useful for the quicker time controls. The problem is that you can get into a winning position where the losing player really “should” resign. I’ve been on both ends of this.

The “Plus 4 or More” option would let the player in the winning position have the option to accepted a “Forced Resignation” if the computer evaluated the position as “Plus 4 or More.” This is way the losing player can’t just swing the Queen around and try to throw in enough checks to make the winning position lose on time.

Obviously amateur players often can have greater swings in their games. So, for them the “Plus 8 is Mate” option would do the same. If the engine evaluates the position as more than 8 up for the winning position, then the winning player would see an option to “Accept Forced Resignation” or “Reject Forced Resignation.”

This would eliminate the games where someone who “morally” should win ends up losing rating points for the BS swindle moves based on time controls. Also both players would consent if they opt in to this setting. It could also be a different rating category because basically the idea is to get into a winning position that you know you would win if you just had the right amount of time to play it out.
IMO, there is already an option to reach your goals: Play with increment.
Not a good idea in my opinion. The goal of chess is not to get a favourable position as evaluated by a computer, but to checkmate the opponent. Reaching a good position means nothing if you can't convert it to a checkmate or a voluntary resignation. In blitz and bullet, time is also a very essential part of the game. If you believe that 1 minute or 5 minutes is not "the right amount of time to play it out", choose a longer time control.
There is no morals in chess. The winner takes it all. no matter how he wins. Time is an essential part of the game.

Not only is this suggestion not doable, but it's also stupid.
I really don't like the idea, nobody would turn on the option anyway.
If you cannot win on time, even with +20 evalution by the engine, then you do not deserve to win
#7 And that's the reason the suggestion in #1 is flawed from its inception: it's infeasible to reach consensus about engine evaluations.

Incidentally the Stockfish team is considering a "bug" that "evaluations are too high" and if you think too much about it you will go insane:
