Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should?

I sometimes ask myself if by our never ending search for greater skill and aquired knowledge as a species, if we don't violate certain ethical laws daily. On the issue of cloning, I know it is within our ability to clone organisms such as sheep does that mean we should? Or gene splicing it seems possible that sometime in the near future we may be able to alter organisms changing their basic internal coding to better suit our purposes. The proposed idea of changing human dna to make us resistant to cancer which I believe has already begun to take shape, but are we allowed to or does it violate some unseen law?

We've been doing that for decades already.

Here's a list of a few examples www.theguardian.com/environment/2018/jun/24/genetically-engineered-animals-the-five-controversial-science

In the West however, it is frowned upon to clone humans or to modify human DNA.

But probably it's being done in a secret labs around the world. I guess many countries would like an army of supersoldiers or to be able to produce Einstein-geniuses in large numbers.

Actually, I think it's being done quite openly, but not to produce Einstein-geniuses. I suspect TV and Youtube are being used to great Epsilon-minus semi-morons in large numbers.
Indeed yes, We're already surrounded by Clones on a Daily ! , and they haven't even had any DNA intervention as yet.
You've only got to observe the footwear some folk wear these days, good grief !, I think the Shoes are actually wearing them out and about ! . :).

They're doing the opposite thing! Taking the Einstein-geniuses and turning them into idiots! DNA-engineering is nothing against YouTube.
It is human to f-ck around and find out. It's a lot funnier if the route taken is the "should" route rather than the "shouldn't" route.
I guess I'll try and quit calling them online shopping company's, informing them that I'm just looking. :).
