Reporting doesn't work!

One month ago, I reported someone for using the F-word in a tournament chat . I even included the link to the page but no apparent action was taken. He continued to play chess as usual. Did the moderators just ignore me?!?!?! I need answers!
I shudder to think that someone is out there just playing chess as usual after such behaviour.
There may have been action taken. Their chat may have been temporarily disabled. Unless it is computer assistance, you probably won't always know if there has been punishment.
The chat might contain language that some may find offensive.
In my opinion, the best solution is to Disable the chat and play in Zen Mode.

The chess players that utter foul language in the chat area, should be first ignored, then warned by the one that is offended.

If it continues, report the one that is using foul language. Reporting does work.

Block the user if you want, but for the time being ignore them so that the individuals don't get pleasure receiving attention to their foul language.

After a few reports, I would imagine the abuser would be blocked from that particular tournament.

The use of inappropriate letters or words have become like imperfections, errors and blunders of our life skills.

Some may never master communication life skills and continue to pronounce foul words in their sentences, like driving over the speed limit.

I believe education is the only global solution to master communication life skills.
lichess should just block those words from appearing in the chat.

Also, they could automatically temporarily mute the player whenever such language occurs.

easy
@amazingname I have yet to see a language filter that actually works. People always find ways around them, especially if they want to anger other people

Plus, keep in mind that this site is multilingual. What may be swearing in one language could be perfectly acceptable in another, or even a different dialect of the same language

Easiest solution is to ignore the chat if you don't like what's in it, or outright block people if you want
