[Feature Request] Play live chess 2v2

Hi.

Please note that I am not talking about vote chess.

I think it would be great to be paired up with a random player (which would become my team partner) against two other random opponents who would also play together.

-The four players would take turns to move the pieces.
-The players of each team would not be able to communicate to each other using chat at any moment during the game.

The fun part would be to try to figure out your partner's plan and follow it(without being able to talk to to him at all) while at the same time(of course) trying to win/save the game.

Maybe your teammate sacrifices a piece because he saw a tactical combination and now it's your turn to figure out what the follow up. Or maybe he/she just blundered and you have to fix the mess.

There have been exhibitions of this type before where strong GMs would do this, and I think they are really fun.

This sounds like a really fun and light-hearted gametype! It'd be awesome to introduce game-types like these to contrast with the sometimes overbearing seriousness of classical chess haha

Unfortunately, as fun as this idea is, something like this seems like trollbait.

Well, we shouldn't let trolls discourage us from doing things we like, right?

I wouldn't care to get some troll players once in a while. Also troll players could be detected. They would consistently blunder on purpose a big number of games. Or have a really low "2v2 rating", whatever.

This post shouldn't be to discuss what to do in case of trolls, but to check if the idea is cool enough to encourage developers to implement it one day.

This is a nice idea, but you can go a little bit further.
Simul for teams 3x3, 5x5, 10x10, whatever you like. Team of white vs team of black. On each board after move players alternate each other. One player can't do 2 consecutive moves on the same board.
That would be very fun and good feature for friends or streams.

Also, in the case of 5v5 you would be able to make only a couple of moves before the game ends.

Is the developers saw that post ?
I think it's a great idea ! Don't see a reason for not doing this.
