Victor's Variant

Sometimes you may come across a game of chess at a standstill, where the structure is very solid, and opponents are forced to make bad moves. But with this new idea, chess can be much more dynamic.

Hello, how are you? I'm a casual lichess player. But I've known him for a long time. I had an idea recently of a possible variant that brings great mobility to the game, and it seems to be easy to implement. I would like the support of the community.

Basically they are the same rules as chess, but the pawn can go back to capture diagonally. Hope you like it. To help me, just share this post, and make comments, until the developers and adms see.

I wish the community support me, and the developers. I'm a history teacher from Brazil without job, and play chess to be happy. Thank you all!

Thank you @The_Human_Paradox! Look at the third image, the pawn in f5 can cut the influence of the Queen, and at the same time, the defense of the knight attacking him on g4! This introduces greater complexity to the game!
This variant also makes it difficult to draw in the game of chess. Since one of the biggest causes of a tie is the structure of pawns that are sometimes immobile.
Interesting.

Instead of "pawns," maybe in this variant they should be called "prawns"?
Very intresting. I think, imo, this wouldn't be too hard to code. Just duplicate the code and change it so one can capture backwards.
